When Irma, the strongest hurricane ever recorded, destroyed our first brewery site on September 6, 2017. It was extremely disheartening but our team did not waiver. We set our resolve to find a new location at a time when the island was just measuring the catastrophic damage.

After considerable effort, we found a magical site on the oceanfront in Road Town, the capital of the British Virgin Islands. Conveniently located near the cruise ship pier, it was without a doubt the perfect setting for our new Tap-House. A place where locals, cruise ship passengers, expats and sailing visitors could all congregate on our gorgeous waterfront deck and experience quality BVI Tola branded premium beers fresh direct from our brewery.

In the meantime after a lengthy delay the re-construction of our newstate-of-the-art new brewery, hurricane proofed to Florida code will be brewing great premium beers in cans for distribution across the BVI and neighboring islands. Additionally, we feature over 15-20 amazing beers on-tap at our Wickham’s Cay waterfront location.

The Tola Beverage Company is proud to be the first commercial production craft brewery in the British Virgin Islands located on the main island of Tortola. Our award winning brewing team sources the finest ingredients to create a truly flavorful line of handcrafted premium beers.
